Reopening with COVID-19 Protocols

To my patients,

This is long but please read it as it has pertinent information for how your acupuncture treatments will look moving forward.

The office will be reopening Monday, May 11th, 2020. I am so happy to be able to open back up and offer support to you all. It’s been difficult to sit on the sidelines knowing how much acupuncture can help! Acupuncture and herbal medicine can help with the stress of COVID-19 along with helping to boost your immune system and support any underlying health concerns that may make you more susceptible to COVID-19 or make your symptoms worse. Read more on my blog post about why now is the time to take charge of your health.

There are significant new requirements in place to ensure the health and safety of everyone who visits my office. I will be implementing the following safety protocol and procedures to ensure the safety of the community, patients, and staff. Because this is a new situation, please be patient with me if I need to make changes to the protocol based on updated advice. For a more detailed list of my precautions and protocols, please visit my website.

****PLEASE REVIEW THIS E-MAIL BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT!*****

  • Everyone must wear a mask that covers both your mouth and nose for the duration of your treatment. Please make sure you pick a comfortable mask since it will be on for the entire treatment. I will not be able to provide a treatment if you are not wearing a mask.

    • If you do not have a facemask, I will have some available for purchase while supplies last.

  • Please use the back entrance to limit your exposure walking through the office building. Park on the West side of the building and walk through the wood gate at the backside of the building. You will see the back door to the office there. Please wait outside for me to let you in.

  • Please call or text me at 720-443-2248 when you arrive at the office. I need to ask COVID-19 screening questions and take your health history before you can enter the building. I will then have you wait outside or in your car until the treatment room is ready for you. I will then meet you at the back door to take your temperature with a non-contact thermometer, along with reading your oxygen saturation with a Plus Oximeter. The reason I’m including the oxygen saturation is because often COVID-19 causes a drop in oxygen saturation. Please wait for me to open my office door for you where you will be asked to use hand sanitizer before entering the office.

    • If you do not have a cell phone, please let me know ahead of time so I will know to meet you in the parking lot at your appointment time.

  • I will not be able to treat anyone with a temperature higher than 100. Please check your temperature at home prior to your appointment to help avoid the need to reschedule due to a high temperature.

    • Late cancelation fees due to COVID-19 symptoms will be waived.

  • Everyone will be required to use hand sanitizer upon entering the office.

  • I reserve the right to ask you to reschedule to a later date if there are concerns about your exposure to COVID-19. This is to protect our community, other patients, and staff entering the building.

  • Please notify me if you’ve traveled recently.

  • Please be on time for your appointment. If you are more than 10 minutes late, I may have to reschedule your appointment. This is for everyone's safety. It is very important that I have adequate time to clean the treatment room and office between patients and provide enough time between patents so that patients don’t cross paths.

  • If possible, please wear comfortable loose-fitting clothes to your appointment so you do not have to change clothes in the office.

  • Please come to your appointment alone unless the patient is a minor or needs assistance in the office.

  • Please only bring what is necessary for your appointment. If possible, leave bags, coats, etc. in your car or at home.

  • I will be disinfecting all surfaces and equipment in the treatment room between patients according to guidelines.

  • Please maintain social distancing before and after your treatment.

  • If you usually pay by check, please bring your own pen.

  • I am happy to continue to provide telehealth sessions and mail herbs or supplements.

If you would like more details about my response and new protocols to COVID-19 please read more on my website.

I am so happy to be back in business again and look forward to seeing you all! I appreciate your help in keeping yourself and others safe. If you have questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to respond to this email or call.

Looking forward to seeing you again soon!

Thank you,

Autumn
